I used to make rather inadvertently expensive letterpress printed and handbound artist books. I stopped making such books five years ago. The majority of copies sold to public and private collections, but unbound copies from three of the editions remain, stored in boxes in my studio. Unbound trade is an effort to get these books, just as they are, out of my studio and into the hands of those who might appreciate their incomplete state: my fellow artists and publishers who have their own unbound editions to trade.
